What happens if it is left

A blocked gutter does not stay a gutter problem. Water that cannot reach the downpipe goes over the edge and lands against the wall, soaking the same strip of brickwork every time it rains. Mortar softens, pointing washes out, and the wall stops drying between downpours. That is when internal damp patches appear on the inside of an outside wall.

Standing water is heavier than most people expect. A metre of gutter full of wet moss and silt puts real load on brackets and fascia fixings, which is how runs start to sag, pull away from the fascia and fail at the joints. Vacuum system versus ladder work

A gutter vacuum works from the ground through carbon poles with a camera on the end, which suits long unbroken runs, two and three-storey elevations, and properties where ladder footing is poor, soft borders, conservatory roofs, sloping drives.
